The Roastery
We are a specialty coffee roastery from Berlin Neukölln. We roast fresh, hand-crafted coffee beans using only specially selected and transparently traded coffee beans.
We are always looking for the best growing regions and farms. It's like wine - not every year is the same. That's why we only use specially selected green coffees and use them to constantly create new and exciting worlds of taste for you.
Our expertise
Exceptional coffee selection
All coffees used are "specialty coffees". This means that high standards apply to the varieties, growing conditions and further processing. The coffee plants are usually grown by small farmers and the coffee cherries are harvested and sorted by hand . This means that only ripe and intact coffee cherries are processed.
Our craft
Optimal roasting process
is the drum roasting process, which we operate exclusively with LPG biogas. Long roasting times at gentle temperatures, that means patience and a sense of proportion and, above all, high-quality coffee, because: the long roasting times break down unpleasant acids and the gentle temperatures prevent the formation of strong bitter substances.
Our Responsibility
Transparent Trade
As a roaster, we are relatively at the end of the coffee value creation and processing chain. We try to work as transparently as possible so that you can understand the origin of the coffee and the trade. The single origin coffees can even be traced back to the individual farm.
Due to the very high quality of their coffee, the farmers receive many times the world market price and even much more than "Fair Trade" certified coffee . Fair payment improves conditions in the growing regions. Excellent coffee and its careful cultivation must also be valued financially - so that it can benefit everyone.
Our goal
Maximum freshness and environmentally friendly
We regularly deliver to your doorstep by cargo bike throughout Berlin in an environmentally friendly and free manner. We also offer collection in Berlin Neukölln, directly after the beans have been roasted.
It doesn't get any fresher than this.
For all non-Berliners, we always ship as quickly as possible in a climate-neutral manner with DHL goGreen.

Usually, coffee is delivered as a consumable product in single-use packaging until the beans are used up. We are aware of this and it is difficult to avoid. That is why we have at least chosen packaging that can be fully recycled .
